How to add The Sun newsletters to your safe senders list

Here's how to ensure you get all the latest from The Sun's newsletter

Don’t miss the biggest news of the day - add The Sun to your safe senders list to ensure your favourite newsletters always arrive in your inbox, not your spam folder.

Simply find your email provider below and follow the steps for your preferred device to get started. 

Not a subscriber? You can explore The Sun’s full suite of newsletters and . 

All Sun newsletters will come from our [email protected] email address.

If you use Apple Mail

  • Open Mail
  • Open an email from The Sun
  • Select our email address at top of the email
  • A dropdown menu will appear - select ‘Add to Contacts’ or ‘Add to VIPs’

If you use Gmail

Gmail app: 

  • Open the Gmail app
  • Open an email from The Sun 
  • Select the down arrow next to our name 
  • Highlight and copy our email address
  • Select the three dots and choose ‘Add’ 
  • Save our email address as a contact 

Gmail on desktop: 

  • Sign into Gmail
  • Open an email from The Sun 
  • Select the vertical three dots in the top-right corner of the email
  • A dropdown menu will appear - select ‘Filter messages like this’
  • A new window will appear - select ‘Create filter’
  • Select the box next to ‘Never send it to Spam’
  • Select ‘Create filter’

If you use an Android device

  • Open the Contacts app on your phone or tablet
  • Select ‘Add’ in the bottom-right corner
  • Enter [email protected]
  • Select ‘Save’

If you use Microsoft Outlook (includes Microsoft 365 and Hotmail) 

Microsoft Outlook on mobile

  • Open the Outlook app
  • Open an email from The Sun
  • Select the horizontal three dots in the top-right corner
  • A dropdown menu will appear - select ‘Add sender to safe senders list’
  • A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen

Microsoft Outlook on desktop

  • Open Outlook 
  • Select the gear icon in the top-right corner
  • A dropdown menu will appear - select ‘View all Outlook settings’
  • Select ‘Junk email’ in the left-hand menu
  • Under ‘Safe senders and domains’ select ‘Add’
  • Enter [email protected] and select ‘Enter’
  • Select ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page

If you use Yahoo Mail (includes Sky)

Yahoo Mail on desktop

  • Sign into Yahoo Mail
  • Select ‘Settings’, then choose ‘More Settings’ 
  • Select ‘Filters
  • Select ‘Add’
  • Name the filter and add [email protected]

Yahoo Mail on mobile 

  • Open the Yahoo Mail app
  • Select the ‘Inbox’ icon in the bottom-left corner
  • Select ‘Spam’
  • Find and select an email from The Sun
  • Select ‘Move’ and then choose ‘Inbox’

If you use BT Mail

  • Sign into BT Mail or open the BT Email app 
  • Select ‘Settings’
  • Select the ‘Safe senders’ folder and choose ‘Add’
  • Enter [email protected] and select ‘Save’

If you use AOL Mail 

  • Sign into AOL Mail or open the AOL App 
  • Select ‘Spam’ 
  • Open an email from The Sun 
  • Select ‘More’ in bottom-right corner
  • Select ‘Not spam’

The following email providers do not have a Whitelist function, so we instead recommend adding [email protected] to your contacts: 

  • Virgin Media 
  • TalkTalk Mail
  • Plusnet
