Gareth Bale told to cut out fast car obsession to save his hamstrings

REAL MADRID superstar Gareth Bale has given a flashy £30,000-a-year car hire
scheme the boot — because Lamborghinis hurt his hamstrings.

The Real Madrid hit-man has a fleet of pricey motors in Spain.

One of which was infamously attacked by angry fans after a poor performance on
the pitch.

And to remove the hassle of maintaining motors in this country to use when he
visits family and friends, he splashed out a fortune to have a £300,000 car
delivered when he steps off a private jet.

But now he’s pulled out of the scheme because the low-slung Italian motors
play havoc with his hammys!

Fellow Welshman Ryan Giggs also had similar problems in his career and ditched
the supercars in favour of more family-friendly motors.

A source said: “The Lamborghinis are the worst — lots of footballers find
that. There’s plenty of time to race around in one when he’s retired so he’s
had to reluctantly pull out of the scheme.”

He joined the group in July when the £300,000-a-week winger tweeted a pic of
him posing at the airport with a £325,000 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and
a £280,000 Ferrari.

He told the firm arranging cars: “A big thanks to the boys at @autovivendifor
dropping off the cars, can’t wait to get out in them!”

And fans on Twitter were quick to make fun of the Wales star – subject of
interest from Manchester United, sponsored by US car giant Chevrolet.

One wag joked: “Nowhere near as good as the Chevrolet you’ll get when you sign
for United.”

Another added: “Come to Utd lad you can have a spin in my brothers 1.2 Nova
you’ll love it.”

Members of the club pay up to £30,000-year – less than a day’s pay for
dad-of-one Bale – to have access to a string of motors for a maximum of two
months that are chauffeur driven to clients’ homes.

The basic package costs £9,500-a-year for 25 days access to cars further down
the fleet range like Range Rovers and Audis.
