“Jade really wasn’t well leading up to it but seeing her find the strength to
get up and dance was amazing. She found the energy to make it the day she
wanted. “

And discussing his love for the larger than life character he said: “I think
it was because she was so down to earth. She never cared about what people
thought. She was never scared to voice her own opinions – right or wrong.
People came round to it in the end.”

At the time of their wedding Jack – then aged 21 – was on a prison curfew
after being released from jail early after being locked up for assault.

Jade had a week to plan her big day, after being told that the cancer had
spread to her liver, bowel and groin.

She died at home surrounded by her family – including sons Bobby and Freddie,
her sons with TV presenter Jeff Brazier – a month later.

Earlier this month on Mother’s Day TV presenter Jeff gave fans a rare glimpse
at what his sons with tragic Jade looked like, by allowing a Facebook page
dedicated to his ex-partner to post two recent photos of Bobby, 12, and
Freddie, 11.

Mother’s Day has a special significance for the family as it was the day she
passed on 2009.

And as Jeff celebrated the poignant day with his sons, he tweeted: “Paid
our respects, had fun on pier & ate large burgers. Today went well
thanks to the courage & maturity of our boys.”
