AYDA Field has revealed that husband Robbie Williams insists she calls him
“the national treasure” – although at first she had no idea why.
The American actress, 36, first met the Take That star ten years go on a blind
date and was bemused about the nickname until she visited the UK with Robbie
for the first time.
She said: “I didn’t really know Angels or the whole Robbie thing. Now,
obviously I do. We arrived in this village, went into Costa to get a coffee
and when we came out people started following us, all smiling and taking
photographs.
“He makes me call him ‘the national treasure’ when we’re at home!”
Speaking to Grazia magazine, Ayda said he, in return, calls her his Swiss Army
Knife, and said the early days of their relationship were a little odd.
She said: “When I met Robbie he was having a break and we spent a lot of time
at home, wandering around in kaftans, going to UFO conventions, watching TV.”

Ayda also spoke about THAT
moment when she was in labour and her husband was tweeting, dancing and
singing his way through the delivery of their second child — and said she
thought it was hilarious.
She said: “Genius. We were going stir crazy and it was this insane thing we
did to take our minds off it. It worked. I guess it’s not traditional, but I
can tell you I didn’t notice the pain.”
The couple, who married in 2010, have two children — daughter Theodore Rose,
three, and 18-month-old son Charlton — and Ayda said Robbie is a hands-on
dad, adding: “Rob changes nappies, makes food, sings Beyonce’s Single Ladies
200 times on demand from Teddy.
“At home our lives are very regular. We take Teddy to school, we cook, we have
family nights in and we watch a LOT of TV.”
As for having any more children, Ayda said they haven’t ruled it out — nor
have they ruled out documenting the whole thing on Twitter, adding: “You
never know. We might surprise you.”
