Bakery rises to the occasion: Greggs are opening outlets selling cut-price pasties

Fans will be pleased as firm opens new bakery outlets selling cheap treats

GREGGS is set to offer hungry customers even cheaper treats at new outlet
stores — as long as they are prepared to eat them cold.

The popular bakery chain is opening stores which will sell day-old cold
pastries at cut prices.

With branches across the country, including one on Westgate Road in Newcastle
and another on Manchester Road in Bradford, outlets will offer customers a
chance to buy products that would have been thrown away.

But how cheap are they?

According to , you can buy a four pack of sausage rolls; a four pack of
cheese and onion rolls, a four pack of cheese scones, a pair of chicken
bakes and a pair of sausage and bean melts if you visited the Westgate Road
branch armed with a fiver.

That’s a saving of £6.50.

The catch? All pastries are sold cold.
