Mick Jagger pays tribute to his tragic girlfriend L’Wren Scott two years after her heart-breaking suicide

Rolling Stones legend honoured the late fashion designer on her 52nd birthday

MICK Jagger has remembered his late girlfriend L’Wren Scott on her birthday
two years after she took her own life.

The Rolling Stones legend was left devastated by his partner’s suicide in
March, 2014.

Veteran rocker Mick, 72, has now offered up a poignant tribute to L’Wren on
the day she would have celebrated her 52nd birthday.

The Stones frontman shared a touching message on Instagram today declaring
L’Wren’s death was weighing heavily on his mind.

He added a picture of the fashion designer standing on a beach in front of a
beautiful sunset.

Mick told fans today would have marked L’Wren’s birthday and he was determined
to remember her.

He wrote: “Remembering L’Wren on her birthday.”

L’Wren took her own life at the age of 49 in March, 2014.

She was found hanged in her New York City apartment while Mick was away on
tour with the band.

The Rolling Stones called off their planned concerts in Australia and New
Zealand to allow Mick to fly to the US to attend her funeral.

They subsequently took a break from touring to allowed the devastated singer
time to mourn the loss of his girlfriend.

L’Wren created Mick’s costumes for the Rolling Stones tours, and the frontman
recently admitted he still wears her designs because he finds them
comforting.

He told the : “I am still wearing her clothes… I don’t find it difficult
emotionally to wear her clothes. In fact it’s quite nice for me.

“I’ve got a big selection of her stuff and the wardrobe mistress goes
 nuts because I always want to bring them all on tour.

“At the end of the day I just pick them up and go: ‘Ah that’s one of
L’Wrens… I like this one’.”

L’Wren and Mick were together for 13 years before she committed suicide in the
apartment they shared in New York.

At the time of her death, the rocker released a statement declaring he was “struggling
to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic
way”.

However, Mick told the Mirror that he is finally starting to come to terms
with the tragedy.

He added: “As time go by, you obviously have a different take on it.”

L’Wren died just a month before she was due to turn 50, and reports suggested
she was battling a number of issues, including financial troubles at her
fashion company.

As well as designing clothes, L’Wren also work as a stylist.

She dressed a number of high-profile stars, including Madonna and Julia
Roberts, and designed costumes for films such as Ocean’s Thirteen and Eyes
Wide Shut.
