MEET the wacky inventor who built a homemade hoverbike in his own back garden.
Colin Furze, 37, from Stamford, Lincs, uploaded the footage of his quest to
create “an unhinged flying bike/human blender” and the result is
pretty impressive.
Remember the Speeders used by Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return
of the Jedi? Well, it looks very similar to them.
The former plumber is no stranger to making wacky things, especially when it
comes to fashioning record-breaking inventions from the comfort of his own
shed.
In his latest video, Colin asked his fans for suggestions to re-imagine how we
get around and he came up with the ultimate flying machine made from a bunch
of spare parts, and even put it to the test using himself as a human crash
test dummy.
It looks like a terrifying thing to ride as Colin crashes almost every time,
making for some hard-to-watch viewing.
He said the bike is almost impossible to control which, by the looks of it, is
an accurate description, since it’s not equipped with brakes, steering, or
even a seat.
But to top it, the crazy inventor decided what this flyng bike really needed
was a fireworks gun attached to the front, because why not?
