ONE Direction’s Louis Tomlinson sung at Jamie Vardy’s wedding yesterday —
while the big day was shunned by the England striker’s family.
Louis, 24, is tipped to play Vardy in a Hollywood biopic and flew from the US
specially with girlfriend Danielle Campbell.
A source said: “Louis and Jamie are an unlikely pairing but the talk of the
film role pushed them together. Louis messaged Jamie saying he’d get up and
do a number with him and his pals.”
The source said Jamie, 29, and bride Rebekah Nicholson, 34, were “chuffed”.
But mum Lisa and her husband Phil, who has raised Vardy since he was a baby,
were not invited and have not spoken to their son for more than a year in an
apparent row over the bride..
Lisa looked sullen as she climbed into her car and drove to work from her
Sheffield home yesterday morning.
Other family members not there for his big day include his grandparents – also
shunned over the family rift – and his first daughter Ella, 5, who was
barred from attending by Vardy’s ex Emma Daggett.
Ella had been asked to be a bridesmaid, but Emma refused.
The source said the couple wanted her to play a part alongside their daughter
Sofia and Rebekah’s two children from a previous relationship. They added:
“They were heartbroken.”.
The quoted Lisa as saying recently: “I’ll never say anything about
my son, good or bad. I’m not bothered.
“I get up, go to work and look after my family. I’ll not go to the fancy
wedding.”

Jamie’s Premier League-winning Leicester City clubmates Wes Morgan, Danny
Simpson, Marcin Wasilewski and Danny Drinkwater were also there.
But midfielder Drinkwater had to return to a Manchester hotel by 4pm to
prepare for the Three Lions game against Australia tomorrow.

Vardy’s former teammate David Nugent will be rehearsing his speech as best man
and a host of other footballers all got invites.
Ireland international Conor Sammon was also snapped arriving.
Preparations for the big day, at the luxurious Peckforton Castle in Cheshire,
did not go without a hitch.
Vardy fell out with mum Lisa, stepdad Phil, and his grandparents Gerald and
Mavis, after they allegedly admitted not liking his chosen fiancee.
Yesterday, Becky emerged from the family home carrying cheeky luggage with
‘Mrs Vardy’ written on the side.
She kissed Sofia goodbye as she set off with friends to get ready for the
wedding.

Vardy leaves England Euro 2016 hotel as he prepares to get married to
fiancee Becky Nicholson
The couple met in January 2014 when Rebekah was hired to organise his birthday
party.
Becky, 34, a former nightclub promotions girl – brought along her two children
from a previous relationship, and many family members.
It’s been an exceptional year for the 29 year old Premier League ace, who
spearheaded Leicester City’s fairytale title win and scored 24-goals along
the way.
He also broke a Premier League record by scoring in eleven consecutive
matches.
Vardy has been given leave
from the England team’s preparations for the Euro 2016 championships
to carry out his nuptials.
The couple’s full honeymoon will be on hold until after the tournament,
friends have said.
