ADELE ditched the ballads and showed off her hidden rap skills as she
channelled Nicki Minaj in James Corden’s most exciting Carpool Karaoke yet.
The singer, who is better known for her tear-jerking numbers, shocked fans by
spewing swear words as she covered the diva’s explicit track Monster.
Adele also revealed to James during the special ride around London for The
Late, Late Show that the first person to ever break her heart was not the ex
boyfriend that inspired her massive 21 album, but Geri Halliwell.
Revealing her love of the Spice Girls, she said: “It was a huge moment in
my life when they came out. It was girl power. It was a really important
period of my life.
“I was always Geri and then she left. That was the first time I was truly
heartbroken.”
Adele and James performed Wannabe in tribute to her fallen idols, as well her
hits Hello, Someone Like You, Rolling In The Deep and All I Ask.

The star also shrugged off suggestions that she should form a collective of
superstars to rival Taylor Swift’s ‘squad’.
James assured her: “If you put together a squad that was like you,
Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, she’d bring Amy Schumer and then like Emma
Stone, Taylor Swift’s squad would s*** themselves.”
Adele replied: “They’re all eight foot. They’re Amazonian. They’ll kick
us with their long legs.”
The star has curbed her boozing since having Angelo, her son with boyfriend
Simon Konecki, three years ago.
But she admitted to getting drunk three nights in a row over Christmas, and
discovered that she can be quite generous when intoxicated.
Remembering a boozy dinner, she said: “I order a glass of wine, then I
have another, then I spot a family and went over, bit drunk and I was like,
‘Did you call my name earlier? Did I hear it’s your birthday? Let me get
your meal for you.
“The next day…I find this email address in my pocket of another family
from Nashville who told me the show was sold out, so I got them tickets for
Nashville. That’s what happens when I’m drunk.”
