JOHN Lewis has unveiled its eagerly-awaited Christmas advert – and it is already making people cry.
The tear-jerking clip shows a girl named Lily looking up to the moon where she sees an old man sitting alone.
After trying to reach him with messages, she eventually sends him a telescope as a Christmas present using floating balloons – bringing tears of joy to his eyes.
Fans reacted with delight following the launch of the £7m commercial this morning.
Charlotte Duckworth said: “Yep, crying #ManOnTheMoon”.

The advert tells people to ‘Show someone they’re loved this Christmas’.

The 2014 Christmas commercial featured a penguin called Monty – whilst a lovestruck snowman and a bear and a hare have also starred in past adverts.
