BOOZY Kate Moss blew her top on an easyJet flight because the crew were eating — and she was starving after a week of detox at a Turkish retreat.
Witnesses said Kate, 41, who swigged vodka from her hand luggage, got angry after staff ran out of sandwiches for passengers. One said she yelled: “It’s f***ing all right for them to eat pasta when we’re hungry.”
As police escorted Kate off the Luton Airport flight she allegedly called the female pilot “a basic bitch”.
She had lived on veggie drinks supplemented by sessions of self-administered colonic irrigation at the centre in Turkey.
But witnesses yesterday told how on the easyJet flight back to Britain 41-year-old Kate became increasingly disruptive after drinking.
Ian Thorne, 50, said: “She was behaving ridiculously and effing and blinding her head off. I had two teenage daughters with me who were very shocked at her language.”
Ian said Kate seemed unhappy from the moment she boarded the plane because she could not sit with her friends, thought to include actress Sadie Frost.
He added: “Kate seemed tipsy. She was with friends but none of them had seats together and they weren’t too pleased.
“Kate was up and down like a yoyo to go see them and talk to them. I could see they were drinking glasses of wine and she looked really the worse for wear.”
Ian said Kate became more rowdy after take-off. He added: “I was asleep at the back of the plane when she woke me with her shouting.
“She was sitting at the back with her friend and they were kicking off because the plane had run out of the sandwiches she wanted.
“The flight attendants were taking a break at the back and eating their food when Kate shouted ‘It’s f***ing all right for them to eat pasta when we’re hungry.’
“She kept using bad language and one of the flight attendants seemed upset.”
The crew are thought to have called police from the plane and officers were waiting as it landed at Luton Airport on Sunday.
Ian said: “I could see the police waiting for her when we got off the flight. I thought, ‘Fair enough’.
“Surely she can afford a private jet where her friends can sit together and she can behave any way she wants? She doesn’t need to ruin everyone else’s flight.”
As Kate was escorted from the plane she allegedly called the female pilot “a basic bitch” — American slang for someone who is boring and uncool.
But one witness said easyJet had over-reacted, adding: “She was a little drunk and had a disagreement with another passenger as she was refused alcohol.
“So she went to serve her own vodka from her luggage. But she was not aggressive to anyone and was funny really. The easyJet crew reaction was out of proportion.”
Friends of the model yesterday said her behaviour was an after-effect of the £2,500 detox programme at The LifeCo centre in Bodrum, south-west Turkey.
A source said: “Kate would have been drinking black tea every morning by the pool and sticking to the detox.
“That’s a week-long diet pretty much consisting of bentonite clay drinks, wheatgrass shots and Himalayan salt shots, as well as cryotherapy and infrared saunas, plus five self- administered colonics. But on the last day, Kate always breaks her fast and comes off the detox to celebrate before going home.
“She would have eaten her favourite lamb mince pizza and boozed it up. But that’s virtually impossible for the body to take after the detox.
“She would have gone virtually straight to the airport from a restaurant where she had been eating and drinking wine and vodka.”
The Bodrum trip is believed to have been an early 50th birthday present for Sadie. Singer Eliza Doolittle’s mum Frances Ruffelle and PR party planner Fran Cutler were also there.
Police said no formal complaints had been made and there were no arrests. Kate’s team did not respond to The Sun’s requests for a comment yesterday.
A statement from the airline said: “EasyJet can confirm that police met flight EZY2232 due to the behaviour of a passenger.
“EasyJet does not tolerate disruptive behaviour and will always report any incidents.”
Sadie yesterday did not mention Kate’s run-in with police as she wrote on Instagram about the detox. She said: “I am home safe and sound! Thanks to LifeCo in Turkey for such a healing week.
Sadie shared pictures — including one of Kate in striped pyjamas with the caption: “Morning!! Perfect breakfast attire!!”
Another showed the friends on sunbeds. Sadie wrote: “Thanks so much for such a girlie yet inspirational week.”
