ADELE sought comfort in a takeaway burger after flopping hard at the Grammys
with a rare out of tune performance.
The normally pitch perfect star resorted to comfort eating after a technical
slip up resulted in an unimpressive rendition of her song All I Ask.
Viewers of last night’s ceremony were stunned, with one commenting on Twitter: “Adele
sounds awful at the #GRAMMYs Like a cat that’s just been electrocuted.”
@CathyChapman1 added: “Yikes Adele sounds awful. I’m pretty sure dogs are
howling outside the theater. #GRAMMYs.”
Ben Wolverton tweeted: “Her voice sounds good, but the sound is terrible
and the spotlight beam is awful. She sounds angry at the end at the end
#adele #grammys.”
There were initial rumours that Justin Bieber ruined Adele’s performance by
soundchecking for his acoustic rendition of Love Yourself with a mic
accidentally switched on.
Tony D Burton tweeted: “I hope someone tapes @Adele kicking @justinbieber
‘s face in backstage for playing guitar during her song. #GRAMMYs.”
Silvia Sampaio wrote: “That annoying sound during Adele’s performance was
Justin Bieber’s guitar. #GRAMMYs please don’t ever invite him back. It’s not
worth it.”

But Adele swooped in and explained: “The piano mics fell on to the piano
strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune.
S*** happens. X.”
The star, who has recently transformed her body with a gruelling training
regime, later added: “Because of it though… I’m treating myself to an
in n out. So maybe it was worth it.”
Adele was not the only Grammys disappointment.
Rihanna had to pull out of her big comeback performance at the awards after
struggling with bronchitis.
Her rep confirmed the star was put on 48 hours voice rest by a doctor on
Monday after taking antibiotics for three days leading up to the Grammys.
Rihanna tweeted: “#NAVY so sorry I couldn’t be there ….. Thanks Grammys
and CBS for your support tonight.”
Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, John Legend, Skrillex and
Pitbull were among the other performers.
The 58th annual Grammy Awards will air on 4Music tonight from 8pm.
