BEN Haenow has confirmed that he’s been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record
label.
The Sun exclusively reported yesterday that the X Factor star, who won the ITV
show in 2014, had
been dropped by his mentor.
Following the revelation, which came about after Simon was disappointed with
the sales of Ben’s album, Something I Need, he has taken to his official
Twitter account to confirm the news and explain his side of the story.
He told his fans: “So I wanted to let you all know directly from me, that
after what has been the most incredible experience working on my debut
album, myself and Syco entertainment have decided to part ways.”

“Working with The X Factor and Syco has been the most amazing time of my
life and has given me the best possible platform for the start of my career.
I have the upmost respect for them both.”
Ben, who’s single Second Hand Heart charted at a disappointing Number 21, also
defended the sales of his debut album which has sold more than his rival
Fluer East’s Love, Sax and Flashbacks.
“I have had the privilege of working with some incredible people, making
some great friends and making a great record (Which has gone on to sell over
100k copies and still going.”
Now Ben has gone, Little Mix and last year’s winner Louisa Johnson are now the
only two remaining winners of the show left on Simon’s label.
Last year, dropped former winner Sam Bailey revealed that she “felt sorry”
for Ben after she watched him perform on the X Factor tour.
She claimed that
it was “obvious” that Simon was pushing for Fluer to become the
star over Ben.
