You get two more mouths to feed

Mum of nine who costs taxpayers £38,000 a year has twins

BABY machine Cheryl Prudham has had twins — costing taxpayers another £1,400 a
year.

Feckless Prudham, 32, already had nine other kids and was claiming £38,000 in
benefits.

She and husband Robert, 29, caused fury by successfully demanding a bigger
council house for their enormous family.

Now they will be needing even more space since the birth of Lacey-May and
Lexi-Rose seven weeks ago.

The part-time working couple got a £200,000 five-bed council super-home
because their previous three-bed was not big enough.

Last night a neighbour in Gravesend, Kent, said: “It’s disgraceful how they
keep having children and expect taxpayers to foot the bill.

“Hard-working families struggle and only have a couple of kids because they
can’t afford any more.

“No doubt their new house will be too small now.”

Before the twins were born the Prudhams had Leon, four, Lenny, two, and
Lainey, one.

Cheryl also has George, 14, Jack, 13, Caitlin, nine, Maisie, eight, Millie,
six, and Madison, five, from previous relationships.

The
Sun revealed last April that Cheryl was pregnant again
and a month later
found her in
Menorca smoking by a hotel pool.

She and Robert took their kids out of school for a £5,000 holiday.

They got £400 a week in child tax credits and their weekly rent of £123 was
paid by the council.

News of the twins’ birth comes after David Cameron and George Osborne
announced a blitz on the benefits culture at the Tory conference in
Birmingham.

Andy Silvester, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “There has to be a point
where the state stops paying for people’s children.”

Last night the Prudhams refused to comment.
