LUXURY fashion firm Dolce & Gabbana were mocked last night — for selling
perfume for babies.
The designer brand claims the scent is a “symbol of pureness” that captures
the “innocence of childhood”.
Trying to sell the gaga idea, it gushes: “A perfumed cologne with no alcohol
to cuddle and pamper every little boy and girl.
“The softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet
hug, the first smile… and other tender moments have been the source of
inspiration.”
A 50ml bottle will set punters back £28 and smells of citrus, melon and honey.
Justine Roberts, of online forum Mumsnet, said: “In terms of products nobody
wants or needs, perfume for babies ranks right up there. This will leave
most parents sniggering.”
It’s the latest unnecessary adult product for babies.
An American firm sells wigs and toupees for newborns and Heelarious pushes
high heels for kiddies up to six months of age.
