Jihad husband of brainbox Brit banned

A CAMBRIDGE graduate’s husband has been banned from the UK for joining Islamic
State terrorists.

Nur Hassan, 21, left the brainy teacher to travel to Syria and help the
fanatics.

British wife Iimaan Ismail, 22, was arrested but has gone missing after being
released.

Hassan, born in Finland, is said to have been brainwashed by UK extremists.

A Home Office order bans the student, of Moss Side, Manchester, for public
security “because you are assessed to be involved in Islamist extremist
activity in Syria”.

He will be extradited to Finland if caught returning.

His politics graduate wife quit teaching English at Manchester’s Chorlton High
before vanishing.

A source close to the investigation accused her of “wilful blindness” over her
husband. And Hassan’s dad claimed she did not tell him of his son’s
disappearance for six months.

Idiris Nur, 50, who fled Somalia for Finland before coming here in 2005, said
he would “kill” whoever radicalised his son.

Hassan revealed he was in Syria in a message to brother Nasib, 15, an ex-Man U
academy player.

ONE of the youngest Brit jihadists in Syria — Jaffar Deghayes, 17,
from Brighton — has been shot dead just months after his brother Abdullah,
18.
