SAMANTHA Faiers’ boyfriend has been slammed on Twitter for his behaviour on
his first reality show appearance on Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries.
Paul Knightley left viewers stunned in an awkward embrace with his own mother.
Twitter flooded with comments after he shared an intimate kiss on the lips
with his mother Gaynor as they talked about him becoming a father for the
first time, which caused uproar for being inappropriate.
Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Chloe Goodman said: “All that was
missing was the tongue? anyone else? #babydiaries”
One said: “Sam Faiers boyfriend awkward kiss with his MUM!!!! Did anyone
else see this?”
Another shocked viewer added: “Just watched the Sam faiers programme. Her
boyfriend and his mother are very creepy… Strange relationship.”
Paul, who was also slammed for being “controlling” and a “man-child”
had a starring role in the former TOWIE star’s highly publicised ITVBe show,
which aired on Sunday night.
The show documented Sam’s journey to becoming
a mother to baby Paul Tony at the end of last year and also gave viewers
an insight into her 16 month relationship with Paul Senior.
He demanded Sam, 25, cook him beans on toast while she was breastfeeding. He
also criticised her for the way she served pasta and then left her to clean
up afterwards.
The 27-year-old, who still sleeps with a comfort pillow, refused to live with
Sam when she was six months pregnant. She described it as ‘male pride’
because she owned the house.
He said: “I don’t think I will officially move in. I’ll be here all the
time but I won’t be moving.”
Sam told him: “I feel like you haven’t been around,” in the weeks
leading up to the birth. He avoided NCT classes, fell asleep reading baby
books and also took a two hour nap while she was in labour.
The property developer slated her outfits for a magazine shoot showing off her
bump for the first time.

Paul said: “I wasn’t too comfortable with the baby bump being exposed.
It’s very sacred to me. It’s my baby bump. The outfits they had for her. I
don’t think were appropriate.”
He also told her that he didn’t like her choice of baby outfits. He said: “Take
that back” when she showed him the clothes from high-end show Burberry
so she returned them.
Sam said: “He’s very picky. He’s just very particular about what he likes.”
Twitter was shocked at his behaviour with Sam’s former Towie co-star Maria
Fowler posting: “Watching Sam Faiers baby diaries … So cute! But
surprised about her bf though, he seems a bit of a man child?”
Another said: “Anyone else think that Paul and his mum are very
controlling and have an odd feel about them ?? #babydiaries #samfaiers.”
A different poster commented: “#babydiaries. Sam faiers boyfriend can’t
make beans on toast! While she was busy breastfeeding! My six year old could
make that! #mummysboy”
Another jokingly compared him to Sam’s Towie ex, Joey Essex, he added: “I
bet even Joey Essex could make beans on toast. #babydiaries.”
Sam had previously revealed to Lorraine that Paul wasn’t keen on being
involved in the reality show but she persuaded him to do it.
She said: “He wasn’t too keen on the cameras.He took some persuading.
It’s not his world. He has a normal life but he did it for me. I’m glad he
got as involved as he did.”
After the hour long show, Sam took to Twitter to thank her viewers for
watching.
She said: “omg we was so nervous watching the show tonight… Thank u so
much everyone for your support #TheBabyDiaries.”
She also wrote: “Overwhelmed with all your kind messages and support good
night xxxxx.”
