Velodrome

THE roof looks like a famous crisp and they could have filled it a hundred
times over.

But those who did manage to nab one of the hottest tickets for the Games
should be kept cool by the design allowing natural air conditioning.

Four-time Olympic champ Sir Chris Hoy was consulted in its construction and
simply asked for the athletes’ loos to be closer to the track.

No matter where you are in this intimate venue, you can’t help but feel more
than an arm’s length away from the riders as they sail past at speeds of up
to 45mph on the Siberian pine track containing 350,000 nails.
