A BUILDER clocked up £40,000 in parking tickets while working for a
mega-rich client — who then paid the fines.
Wardens caught the Ford Transit driver ignoring parking rules 340 times.
He was the worst offender caught by the Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea’s traffic wardens last year.
Most of the tickets picked up by the Transit were in posh Cornwall Gardens,
West London.
It is made up of vast Georgian terraces, some worth up to £16million.
Anyone caught breaking parking rules in the borough faces fines of £80 to £130.

But the cost can be cut by half if they pay within a fortnight.
So far, 302 of the Transit’s fines have been paid, a total of £20,360.
Many builders working for rich London clients factor in the cost of fines and
add them to their bill.
Elsewhere, Westminster council said one vehicle got 325 tickets, costing
£45,610, last year.
In Islington, 150 fines totalling £17,690 were given to a Vauxhall van owner.
