X Factor’s Jesy Nelson
hits back at net bullies

X Factor’s Jesy Nelson has hit back at cyber-bullies posting cruel comments
online — and vowed not to change.

The 20-year-old Little Mix singer was seen in tears on a recent episode of the
X Factor after she read jibes about her weight on the internet.

She said: “When you’ve got your own insecurities and then people write them on
websites for everyone to see, it just makes you feel really rubbish.”

But she has revealed that she knew she would get picked on after seeing it
happen to other girl bands.

She told heat magazine: “Kimberley in Girls Aloud always got picked on for
being curvier than the others, so I knew I would.

“But it’s not until you actually see it that it hits you. I thought I’d
be alright and then I saw it and just burst out crying.”

Jesy was shocked to find that comments on a YouTube video of one of her band’s
performances singled her out.

“I found it more upsetting that they were only about me.

“Someone called me a ‘fat, ugly c***’. I couldn’t believe it.”

Jesy added that she found it even harder to cope with because she had been
bullied at school.

She said: “When’s it going to stop? People shouldn’t be allowed to do
things like that. I think whoever called me that should feel bad about it.”

Bandmate Jade Thirlwall supported her pal and said: “We’re all different. If
you’re curvy, you can relate to Jesy, and if you’re small you can relate to
me. I’ve got no shape at all. I’ve tried absolutely everything to grow some
boobs, but nothing works! Everyone has their own insecurities.”

Jesy has resolved to ignore the negative messages and finished: “I’m a size
10/12. I know that I’m not fat. I’m not going to change. My mum told me to
ignore it, so I’m going to!”
