CELEBS including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Taylor Swift have all joined in a Twitter row – over the colour of a dress.
The outfit has sparked a huge online debate, as it appears different to everyone who sees it.
Thousands of people see the dress as blue and black – including Justin Bieber – while to others, including actress Julianne Moore, it appears white and gold.
Nobody can decide if the dress, made by Roman Originals, is blue and black or white and gold due to an optical illusion in the way people see colours.
The image was first posted on Tumblr by Caitlin McNeill, a 21-year-old from Scotland, after her pals all disagreed about its colour.
Her photograph was of Celica Bleasdale who wore it to the wedding of her daughter Grace and her son-in-law Keir Johnston.
Caitlin said: “What happened was two of my close friends were actually getting married and the mother of the bride took a photo of the dress to send to her daughter.
“When my friend showed the dress to her fiancee, they disagreed on the colour. All our friends disagreed on the colour.”
However, she was not expecting to start rows between celebrity A-listers.
Kim Kardashian wrote: “What color is that dress? I see white & gold. Kanye sees black & blue, who is color blind?”
Taylor Swift said: “I don’t understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it’s a trick somehow. I’m confused and scared. Ps it’s OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK.”
Star of the US version of The Office, actress Mindy Kaling had a war of words with fellow stars Julianne Moore and stand-up BJ Novak.
She said: “White and gold. ARE YOU INSANE.” Novak responded by congratulating Moore on her Oscar “which Mindy thinks is purple and green”.
The company said this was a photo of their blue dress, other versions come in white, pink and red.
