KNIVES nicknamed “zombie-killers” are to be banned after a spate of horror
attacks.
Laws will be rushed through to prohibit their sale, manufacture or importation.
Home Secretary Theresa May has decided to act after police chiefs warned they
were becoming fashion accessories for teenagers.
Dozens of the weapons, with long serrated blades, have been confiscated by
cops.

And a teenage boy died after being stabbed in the heart with one as he played
with friends. The weapons are cheap and easy to get. They are usually sold
on Amazon to people who want to be prepared for the “zombie apocalypse”.
But gangs are arming themselves with the knives and kids carry them as status
symbols or parade them in YouTube videos.
Serial killer Joanne Dennehy brazenly posed for pictures with one of the
weapons.
Two 17-year-old boys are on trial for murder after Stefan Appleton, 17, died
from wounds allegedly inflicted by a zombie knife in North London.
Mrs May said: “There can be no legitimate reason for anybody to need one of
these.”
Offenders involved anywhere in the supply chain will face up to four years in
jail under new laws to be published soon.
London mayoral candidate Zac Goldsmith said: “We are saying that enough is
enough.”
