EasyJet founder launches new sports betting platform with EasyBet

EASYBET has officially landed.

The easyGroup, known primarily for low-cost airline easyJet, has entered the sports betting industry with their new online sportsbook.

Greek-Cypriot billionaire Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who founded the budget airline in 1995, has stamped the Easy brand on everything from dog walking services to storage units.

And sports betting is the next cab off the rank. Sorry, the next EasyTaxi off the rank.

EasyBet is a joint-venture alongside Matchbook, who are already an established player in the UK betting market and will operate and pay a licence fee to EasyGroup.

The website, which includes the famous orange colours and launched in late October, is a similar exchange model to that of Matchbook and Betfair.
