When is the Cheltenham Gold Cup, what's the distance and which sort of horses can enter?

The 2019 Gold Cup will take place on Friday, March 15 at 15:30 (3.30pm).

It's a Grade 1 National Hunt race open to horses five years and older only and is run over a distance of three miles, two and a half furlongs.

The Gold Cup is the pinnacle of National Hunt Racing.
