LADIES Day at Cheltenham Festival may be a slightly more low-key affair than the equivalent at Royal Ascot – but the women pulled out all the stops with their stylish outfits.
Women arrived on day two of the racing meet with extravagant headpieces and colourful frocks and were certainly dressed to impress despite the strong winds.
While Ascot may have a strict dress code, Cheltenham doesn't have formal guidelines, meaning guests can opt for more daring looks to stand out from the crowd.
Thousands of racegoers have flocked to Cheltenham Racecourse today for the action in spite of threats this week that Ladies Day would be cancelled due to wet and windy conditions.
Not to be deterred, the glamorous women put their best foot forwards wearing snug coats and carrying umbrellas to keep any rain away from their blow-dries.
As strong winds from Storm Gareth swept in, women could be seen holding onto their striking hats so they didn’t blow away.
Guests have been captured lapping up tiny bottles of Moet at the sporting event
Vogue Williams led the way in the fashion stakes, looking spectacular in a double-breasted tartan coat by Holland Cooper.
She was joined by jungle babe Georgia Toffolo who donned knee-high boots and a bright patterned coat.
The wife of Spencer Matthews, who gave birth to their son Theodore Matthews last year, wore her long hair down under a black trilby hat for the occasion.
Other celebrities to attend the event included Jeremy Kyle, who was accompanied by nanny-turned-partner Vicky Burton.
Attendees yesterday may have opted for a more casual country style, with tweedy outfits, women certainly upped the fashion stakes today.
Revellers could be seen pushing the fashion boundaries in a hope to catch the judges' eyes for the Best Dressed Award.
Fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper was one of many who proudly wore tartan to the event, and looked eye-catching in her red Holland Cooper Knightsbridge Coat.
Of course champagne was the order of the day at the iconic meet, with the glamorous ladies seen sipping on Moët in high spirits.

Many women dressed in vibrant shades to add a splash of colour to proceedings, from bold pinks to baby blues.
And trousers suits were a popular choice, with some revellers choosing to bare their cleavages with low-plunging necklines.
For those keen to push the boundaries even further, some brave racegoers braved the cold with mini dresses and stiletto heels.
It may not be Royal Ascot, but the Ladies Day is expecting a member of the elite family to attend.

Simon Claisse, Clerk of the Course at Cheltenham and South West Head of Racing for The Jockey Club, said this morning: "We are delighted that the weather conditions have changed from the initial forecasts and the prospect of higher wind speeds and gusts have receded.
"We are looking forward to a fantastic day's racing on the Old Course with the feature race the £400,000 G1 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase."
