Cheltenham Ladies Day racegoers make a statement in bold colours, tartan prints and VERY daring necklines
LADIES Day at Cheltenham Festival may be a slightly more low-key affair than the equivalent at Royal Ascot – but the women pulled out all the stops with their stylish outfits.
Women arrived on day two of the racing meet with extravagant headpieces and colourful frocks and were certainly dressed to impress despite the strong winds.
While Ascot may have a strict dress code, Cheltenham doesn't have formal guidelines, meaning guests can opt for more daring looks to stand out from the crowd.
Thousands of racegoers have flocked to Cheltenham Racecourse today for the action in spite of threats this week that Ladies Day would be cancelled due to wet and windy conditions.
Not to be deterred, the glamorous women put their best foot forwards wearing snug coats and carrying umbrellas to keep any rain away from their blow-dries.
As strong winds from Storm Gareth swept in, women could be seen holding onto their striking hats so they didn’t blow away.
Many women dressed in vibrant shades to add a splash of colour to proceedings, from bold pinks to baby blues.
