Mikey North – an apology

On February 2, we published an article on our front page accusing Mr North of “snogging” his friend and colleague Alison King, thereby cheating on his wife and betraying his friendship with Miss King’s partner.

A video of the incident was also included online.

What happened, in fact, was Mr North was speaking in Miss King’s ear and was holding a glass in his hand.

The angle of photography and the clarity of the container made it appear that Mr North was holding Miss King’s face rather than the glass and was kissing her.

Mr North did not kiss or try to kiss Miss King.

We are very sorry to Mr North and his wife for the serious embarrassment caused to them as a result of our publication.

We are happy to set the record straight.
