The winner will be chosen by our celebrity judges and the top dog’s owner will receive £1,000, plus a pet portrait by The Sun’s royal photographer Arthur Edwards and an interview on Kate Lawler's Virgin Radio UK show.
Two runners-up will get £50 each.

On our judging panel are two famous dog-lovers and a celebrity canine — Virgin Radio’s Kate Lawler, 36, and Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler, 21, along with her incredible dancing dog Pudsey.

Kate, the owner of adorable six-year-old border terrier Baxter, says: “I’m so excited to be part of Pup Idol. Dogs don’t necessarily have to be perfect to be beautiful — a lopsided ear or wonky smile just adds to their personality.”
Ashleigh adds: “I’ll be looking for personality in each photo and championing the golden oldies. And Pudsey will be looking for a dog who looks like good fun — the kind of pup he can have a nice runaround with in the park.”
Get your entry in fast. The competition closes on February 11, and it’s dog eat dog.
