FORKLIFT driver ADRIAN BOULTER, 46, from Swansea, said:

“It’s not very often you see a £50 note – I certainly don’t remember having one.

"For a while I just carried it around in my wallet.

"Eventually I spent it on my weekly shopping, but I did make sure I put a few extra treats in the trolley that day.”

PROUD gran TINA GROOM, 55, of Sheerness, Kent, used her cash to treat her newborn granddaughter Khaleesi.

She said: “When I spotted a musical Minnie Mouse teddy I was so pleased I had a bit of spare cash.

"Things like that never happen to me. I opened the cash wallet and nearly screamed in shock.

CUSTOMER support worker SHARON EVANS, 49, from Abingdon, Oxon, said: “I was so excited. I had my eye on a pair of Adidas trainers so I knew straight away what I was going to spend it on.

"My sons Daniel, who is 17, and Matthew, who’s 15, were so jealous.

"It was nice to treat myself for a change.”
