Proud women defend The Sun’s Bust in Britain competition saying it’s a big lift for their boobs

Last year's winner of the contest, Jasmine McCloude, says it is about 'celebrating women'

LAST year’s winner of the Sun’s Bust in Britain competition hit back at Janet Street Porter for attacking the contest.

Proud Jasmine McCloude, 25, of Taunton, Somerset, said: "This competition is about celebrating all women.

“I used to suffer from low body issues and winning The Sun’s competition boosted my body confidence and made me feel great about myself.”

New entrant Whitney Hamilton, 22, from Sandbach, Cheshire, added: "The competition is fun.

"Instead of criticising each other we’re all standing together.

"It’s about female empowerment.

"Maybe Janet Street Porter is stuck in the old days instead of the modern times we live in."

And Victoria Porter, 35, from Essex, said: “Janet needs to understand this is our choice.

"If I want to pose in lingerie, I will.

“It’s my body and I shouldn’t be ashamed about wanting to show it off.”

  • Get someone else to take the picture if you don’t want to take a selfie.
  • Wear sexy lingerie, a bikini or a low-cut top.
  • Don’t over filter the picture because we want to see your beautiful face.
  • Don’t crop out your forehead. Make sure your full face and cleavage are in shot.
  • Don’t use app gadgets that make you look like a furry animal. They may look cute but we want to see your sexiest side.
  • Don’t take the picture in black and white.
  • Don’t send in a favourite picture of yourself taken years ago. We bet you look even more beautiful today.
