Father’s Day without my daughter will be so hard after her mum took her away
DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE been dreading this Father’s Day as it will be the third one without seeing my gorgeous daughter.
She has been taken away by her mother and I’m still fighting to get her back.

My ex took her to Poland in 2018, despite a Family Court Order against my daughter’s removal from the UK. My daughter is now six and I’m 47.
I’ve tried everyone and everything I can think of – I’ve asked my MP for help, have spoken to the British Red Cross and I am constantly sharing our story on Twitter.
I’m not the only father going through this. There are at least seven other British children being illegally held in Poland.
Parental alienation is an international disgrace. I’m losing hope.
DEIDRE SAYS: I am so sorry that you and your daughter are living with this distressing situation.
All too often a child misses out on the love and involvement of a parent, simply because the adult relationship has broken down.
Please contact Action Against Abduction (), which works to help bring children home.
You can also try Reunite International , 01162 556 234), which is another UK-based charity that specialises in inter-national parental child abduction.
And lastly, please don’t give up hope. Keep doing everything you can.
