My son is heartbroken after his first break-up – how do I help him?

He sobbed his heart out and cried like a baby in my arms.

I’m 52 and want to help him get over this and rebuild his life. But I don’t know what to say or do that could possibly help.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your love for your son is clear and this in itself will help him.

Be there to talk to him. Give him the benefit of your wisdom and experience.

Tell him you do understand the pain of losing his first love but make it clear he will feel better in time.

As you know, nothing in life stays the same and he will be happy again – or even happier.

Also, give him my support pack Mend Your Broken Heart to read.
