DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my new girlfriend asked me to invest in her dog portrait photography business, I had no idea she planned to dump me.

But soon after we started drawing up the paperwork, she told me she still had feelings for her ex and couldn’t commit to me.

We were seeing each other for six months after meeting on dog walks on the heath.

I’m 44 and she’s 41. She says she cares about me and wants me to be involved in the business, but I’m not sure.
