DEIDRE SAYS: Dear Anya, it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed, worried and even isolated with the news you have an unplanned pregnancy.

But your current situation doesn’t need to be disastrous and plenty of support is available.

The important thing is to seek help sooner rather than fretting alone – independent advisors can help you decide if you feel ready to be a parent.

Contact The British Pregnancy Advisory Society (, 03457 30 40 30).

If you decide to keep your pregnancy, then because you had intercourse three weeks apart you will be able to work out who the dad is.

Women ovulate 14 days before their period and are fertile for six days around the day of ovulation.

I’m sending you my support packs: Having A Baby and Unplanned Pregnancy.

You can work out the best course of action for you, but please seek help.
