TOO SMALL

I am considering taking steroids to get even with my bigger, older brothers

DEAR DEIDRE: IT’S no fun being the runt of the family and one of four boys.

All my brothers are athletic and strong, whereas I’m lanky and skinny. Even my mates take the mick.

I’m 21 and single, yet all my friends and brothers have had plenty of partners.

I’ve only ever had one girlfriend.

I’m so fed up with being so thin, I’m thinking about taking steroids.

My friends all go to the gym regularly but I hate working out in front of others.

If I start taking steroids, I’ll bulk up quickly.

I have heard they can lead to short temper and even bad skin, but surely that is a rare side-effect?

MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE

DEIDRE SAYS:  Sorry to burst your bubble but those side-effects are not rare and there are many more, including heart attacks and strokes.

Visit the gym when it’s quiet, or work out at home.

You’ll soon get stronger and healthier.
