DEAR DEIDRE: SINCE my fiancée piled on the pounds, I’ve stopped feeling attracted to her. In fact, I find her repulsive.

Our lack of sex isn’t helped by the fact she snores like a foghorn.

We’re both 48 and have been together for five years, engaged for three.

But she’s gone from a size 12 to an 18.

I know it’s not politically correct but I don’t fancy larger ladies.

Her snoring keeps me awake and makes me grumpy, and I don’t even want to sleep in the same room.

She keeps asking when we’re going to marry, but I don’t want to. She’s not the woman I fell for.

What should I do?

MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE

DEIDRE SAYS: You can’t help your feelings, and she may sense them. But if you love her, you must talk.

That doesn’t mean criticising – instead, just gently persuading her to seek help.

Snoring can be a symptom of a health problem, so it’s important she sees a doctor.
