I’m straight but I can’t stop fantasising about men

READ Dear Deidre Editor Sally Land's personal replies to today's problems.

DEAR DEIDRE: WHENEVER I pleasure myself, I fantasise about other men.

But I am straight and have never found another man sexually attractive. So why can’t I stop imagining having sex with them?

I’m a 28-year-old guy, who has always had relationships with women, although I’m currently single and haven’t had sex for a while.

Over the past few months, I’ve started imagining being with another man - touching him and having him touch me.

Sometimes, these fantasies are quite detailed - I picture a scenario, imagining it step by step.

But in reality, I know I don’t actually want to do this. I’ve never been attracted to any guys I’ve met or seen, and feel sick at the thought of sex with them.

So what is going on? Why am I having these fantasies more and more often?

They turn me on more than fantasising about women, which doesn’t make sense.

DEIDRE SAYS: Sexual fantasies are perfectly normal and common.

Often people fantasise about things they wouldn’t carry out in real life. In fact, the more taboo, or risky a fantasy seems, the more exciting it can be.
