I want to hire private detective to follow my husband – I’m certain he’s cheating on me

DEAR DEIDRE: IF I could afford it, I would get a private detective to follow my husband because I’m almost certain he’s cheating on me.

He is on his phone all the time and he never wants to have sex – unless I initiate it. My gut tells me he’s found another woman.

I’m 48 and he’s 50. We’ve been married for 18 years.

At first, he couldn’t get enough of me.

But for the past year or so, we haven’t had sex unless I suggest it. And often he says no.

It makes me feel unattractive and undesirable.

The only reason I can think of is that he’s getting sex elsewhere. My suspicions have been growing since I noticed his nose is always buried in his smartphone.

I’m so anxious and unhappy about this, I even Googled local private investigators, and researched how much they cost to hire.

He denies anything is going on. What can I do?

DEIDRE SAYS: Being rejected sexually is painful, but it doesn’t mean your husband is having an affair.

It’s possible he’s gone off sex because he’s stressed or having erectile problems.

The fact you trust him so little that you want to hire a PI suggests a deep problem in your marriage.
