I cancelled dates with dream girl and now she’s seeing someone else

DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE blown my chances with a really nice girl but I cannot get the thought of her being with another man out of my head.

I am 26 and she’s 21. We met a couple of months ago and were getting on well, but I kept cancelling dates I’d arranged.

I had a lot going on in my life and was struggling to find time for a relationship so I ended it.

She messaged a week later and I agreed to give us another chance, but it wasn’t long before I started making excuses again.

Finally, she texted to say she was chatting to someone else on a dating site.

I see on Facebook she is up to all kinds of stuff and it is messing with my head.

DEIDRE SAYS: You may have had a lot going on in your life but, if you’d really been keen on a relationship with this girl, you would have made time.

You need to work out whether she was the wrong girl for you.

Or if you were scar­ed of having a rela­tionship and so ran from the chance when it was available.
