Woman outraged she’s not invited to university friend’s wedding… despite not speaking to her for FOUR years
A WOMAN has been slammed online for expecting an old uni friend to invite her to her wedding - despite not seeing her for four years.
Taking to Facebook to vent about the snub, the woman said "everyone from the student union" was invited apart from her.
The bride, who shared screengrabs of the post on a Facebook wedding shaming group, explained: "I got married yesterday and had the best day ever!
"This girl who I know from college publicly posted on Facebook about how I didn't invite her to my wedding.
"Here's the funny bit... I haven't seen or spoken to her in four years. I have popped screenshots below so please do shame away.
"My husband and I were crying with laughter earlier just because it's so pathetic."
The shared screengrabs - which have made their way to - show the disgruntled friend taking to social media to say she had been "left out".
"Never realised how much I was the one to be left out all the time, well I do now.
"My friend got married yesterday and everyone from the student union got invited apart from me.
"Am I really that bad?"
The bride - who had spotted the posts - commented: "I haven't spoken to you in ages, we had a very small wedding with only very close family and friends.
"Gen was the only person from the union to come and even so she still only came to the ceremony.
"Before publicly shaming me get your facts right, also if you were adult enough you would realise that weddings cost a fortune so don't slate."
The pair bickered back and forth until the bride said: "As a now married woman I do not have time for your pettiness".
And Reddit users were in shock over the posts, with one calling the women "both ridiculous" after the bride's final comment came across as "full of herself".
One wrote: "Who posts a Facebook status playing the victim at not being invited to a wedding for someone they haven't spoken to in 4 years?"
While another said: "Bride was justifiably p***** off at [friend's] behaviour but went overboard in trying to give her a taste of her own medicine."
Others agreed they were "both in the wrong".
"If someone posted that about my wedding I'd just ignore it. She has made herself look bad by stooping to that complainers level," pointed out one user.
