Madonna broke into fits of giggles after the Queen failed to recognise her during awkward red carpet encounter
AS the "Queen of Pop" in her own right, we can't imagine there are many people Madonna would be nervous to meet - except maybe for the ACTUAL Queen herself.
In 2002, the pop icon came face to face with Her Majesty at the UK premiere for the James Bond movie Die Another Day - and erupted into a fit of giggles when The Queen awkwardly didn't recognise her.
And although all the practice paid off, the video footage shows the Material Girl singer struggling to keep her cool as she shook hands with The Queen.
But things went from bad to worse when the pop star nervously started laughing as Her Majesty failed to place her and her co-stars... which is exactly the kind of reaction we would have had tbh.
When The Queen asked who Madonna was, her aide informed her that the star had performed the blockbuster's title track to which the monarch replied: "Oh really, did you?"
Fortunately for the music icon, she wasn't the only one The Queen didn't recognise.
As she went to shake hands with John Cleese - who played Q in the blockbuster - Her Majesty asked: "And what do you do?"
After pulling a face at someone across the room, Madonna also can't contain her giggles when The Queen didn't know who her co-star Rick Yune was.
But considering how famous these stars are, we can't help but wonder if this was The Queen showing off her famous "wicked" sense of humour.
After the nerve-wracking meeting was over, Madonna revealed that The Queen had "asked about Bond" and insisted that she "surprisingly wasn't nervous" beforehand.
