Meghan Markle took Baby Archie lots of toys on the royal tour so he didn’t miss his ‘home comforts’, royal expert claims
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry packed lots of toys for baby Archie on his first royal tour, an expert has revealed.
The five-month-old joined his parents the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the 10 day trip to South Africa, and the baby was surrounded by “home comforts.”
Royal editor Omid Scobie revealed details of the baby’s trip on his podcast where he was joined by fellow royal reporter Maggie Rulli.
Scobie said: “Of course they brought all of the home comforts with him.
“I heard that there were a lot of toys there that they’d brought from home and all the things that make him feel probably like he hasn’t gone anywhere.
“You want to keep him comfortable the whole time, that’s why Meghan stayed with him in South Africa rather than joining Harry on his own travels.”
He went on to say that Archie was treated to breakfast with a view during his time staying at the British High Commissioners Residence at Bishops court.
Scobie explained: “It has a beautiful view of Table Mountain and apparently Archie would have his feed looking out through the window looking out at this incredible view.”
The public was only treated to one sighting of Archie when he joined his parents in meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu – and it very nearly didn’t go ahead.
