Meghan Markle ‘gave up everything she had to marry Prince Harry’, Duke’s polo pal claims
MEGHAN Markle “gave up everything she had to marry the man she loves”, claims Prince Harry’s polo friend Nacho Figueras.
The Argentinian polo star, 42, who's the captain of Prince Harry’s charity polo team, spoke on The Ellen Show following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's attack on the press.

Nacho, who attended the couple’s royal wedding in 2018, shared clips of the interview on his Instagram, and in a heartfelt caption said he would “defend his friends” with his life.
Speaking to host Ellen DeGeneres, he called Prince Harry a “wonderful man” who “really cares about making the world a better place”.
He added: “Then he found Meghan, who is an incredible girl, she’s amazing — she gave up all the things she had to marry this man she loves.
“Nobody knows all of the very hard things that go with that. I love them so much! They're good people.”

The supportive comments come in the wake of Prince Harry releasing a statement last week about the “relentless propaganda” about his wife Meghan Markle.
Nacho has dubbed the David Beckham of polo by Tatler and has been pals with Harry, 35, for 13 years – and more recently with former Suits actress Meghan, 38, who relocated from Canada when she started dating the prince.
Meghan ended up leaving her acting career behind to be with Harry, and also shut down her website The Tig and her personal Instagram page.

The polo player added: “I will defend my friends @SussexRoyal with my life because they are making a difference and we should all be supporting and helping instead of attacking. Let's be kind to one another.”
Ellen, who spoke out to defend the “compassionate” couple in August amid their private jet row, said: “You and I feel very strongly and support what's happening right now to protect themselves.
“I learned just how much scrutiny they're under all the time.”
Father-of-four Nacho added: “I've seen it all happen, right from the very beginning”.

It’s not the first time that Nacho has come to the defence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and told CBS in May: “The headlines and the narrative is about them, you know, not getting along with so and so or not doing this or not doing that, is the baby sleeping or not sleeping.
“How about this guy, both of them, wake up every morning and all they think about is helping children.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just returned from a 10-day royal tour of Africa where they did over 35 engagements highlighting causes close to their hearts.
Towards the end of the tour, Harry revealed his wife Meghan has launched legal action against the Mail on Sunday.

In a lengthy statement published on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's website, Harry alleged the paper had "unlawfully" published a letter from her to her father Thomas Markle.
In a statement revealing the legal action, Prince Harry claimed the couple were suffering from the "painful" impact of "relentless propaganda" against Meghan.
Referencing press coverage of his mother Princess Diana, the Duke said his "deepest fear is history repeating itself".
He wrote: "I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person.
“I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”
