PRINCE William had to tell an excitable George to “calm down” while celebrating an Aston Villa goal over the weekend.
The six-year-old prince joined his dad and mum Kate Middleton alongside sister Charlotte for the match against Norwich.
And George was seen becoming very excitable as Aston Villa took the lead, leaping out of his seat and squealing in excitement.
But dad William can be seen gently telling his son to calm down, with fans believing he was being considerate to Norwich fans, who lost the match 4-0.
According to , the Cambridges were sat in Norwich ground Carrow Road's South Stand, surrounded by mainly home supporters.
Fans were quick to gush over the adorable father-son exchange on Twitter.
One wrote: “How adorable is Prince George cheering on his (and daddy's) team? He was so excited William had to tell him to calm down.”
Another agreed adding: “Prince William telling George to calm down might be the best thing I've ever witnessed.”
"I was lip reading Prince William saying 'calm down George'," one replied.
“That little boy is the cutest thing” wrote a third.
The Cambridge family were spotted among crowds of Aston Villa fans at Saturday's match against Norwich.
The sweet footage has since been shared on the where fans gushed over "adorable" George and praised Kate and William for their parenting approach.
