Jennifer Aniston broke Meghan & Harry’s World Record after hitting 1million Instagram followers in 5 hours
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been knocked off their Instagram throne after Jennifer Aniston beat their world record to become the fastest ever account to reach one million followers.
On Tuesday, the A-list actress made her best attempt to "break the internet" when she posted a photo of the Friends cast reunited - and needless to say, fans went in to absolute meltdown.
Alongside the snap of herself, Matt LaBlanc, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, the 50-year-old star wrote: "And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM."
And we're not just speaking for ourselves here when we say that fans couldn't follow Jen's account quick enough.
In just five hours, Jennifer had already hit one million followers - beating Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's record by 45 minutes.
The couple launched their joint Instagram account in April and use it as a platform to highlight their work.
What's more, the former Friends star has gone on to surpass the couple and already boasts an impressive 11.9m in comparison to Sussex Royal's 9.7m.
In the first hour of creating her Instagram account, Jennifer racked up over 116,000 followers and followed her ex-husband Justin Therous, Julia Roberts and former co-stars Courtney Cox and Matt LeBlanc.
And fans were so desperate to follow Jen that her account temporarily crashed.
A spokesperson for Instagram told People: "We are aware that some people are having issues following Jen’s page — the volume of interest is incredible!
"We are actively working on a solution and hope to have the page up and running smoothly again shortly."
