The vlogger - who has more than 59.1k followers on - bought the four-bedroom period property,  originally built in the 1640s, in a Cornish village with her boyfriend Alex, 27, for £230,000.

They decided to turn one of the smaller bedrooms into a large bathroom after taking inspiration from Pinterest.

Having paid the pros to carry out re-plumbing and add geometric tiling, they decided to keep costs down as much as possible by being creative with the finishing touches.

This included turning an old school desk, bought for £52, into the foundations of a sink, sourcing a second-hand toilet for £20, and making a shelf out of re-claimed wood costing £15.99.

The couple did everything themselves - including painting, hanging the mirror and shelf, and installing lights.

They also carried out the finishing touches, like attaching hooks to the back of the door.
