Groom savaged by wedding shamers for saying he misses his pregnant wife being ‘skinny’ in marriage announcement
AS we're sure all brides will agree, one of the most emotional parts of your wedding day is when your doting groom gushes about how amazing you look in front of all your loved ones.
However, one newlywed's attempt at an adoring Facebook post has spectacularly backfired after he admitted he missed his pregnant wife "being skinny"... I'm sorry, what?
Announcing that they'd tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at a registry office, the anonymous American groom wrote: "My WIFE and I got married today. I told y'all I wasn't playing with this relationship s***."
Attempting to write a heartfelt post, the groom then went on to say that him, his wife and baby Donte Jr "are a family that will not be broken".
So far, so sweet. But that's when things took an awkward turn for the worse.
Revealing how him and his pregnant wife have been "best friends since before we started dating", he added: "She's getting so big. I miss her being skinny."
The groom then posted a photo of him and his wife in sweatshirts (the bride still wore white, obvs) at the registry office where they married earlier this month.
To make matters even more bizarre, the groom wrote: "And to my exes... this could've been you but I'm glad it's not b*****." Charming.
He concluded: "OMG I cried y'all. We'll get rings soon - chill."
Right so there's a lot of things to unpick here - and it didn't take long for one of his Facebook friends to screenshot his post, cover the faces with an emoji and share it in the group .
Needless to say, the shocking post racked up thousands of comments from outraged users who labelled him "trash".
Another added: "If this post doesn't tell her he only married her to p*** off his ex, I don't know what well. HE WILL LEAVE YOU THE FIRST TIME HIS EX EVEN FARTS IN HIS DIRECTION GIRL."
"Could you imagine your husband telling you he 'missed you being skinny' as you're carrying his child," a third pondered.
Meanwhile, another joked: "C'mon guys. I'm sure this marriage was built on a solid foundation of mutual love, trust and respect and will last many years."
In response, one user wrote: "Can you say annulment?"
