Bride wears a BLACK wedding dress to her ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ shoot – and she even had tombstone invites
A BRIDE has proven herself to be the ultimate queen of Halloween after she wore a black wedding dress to her Nightmare Before Christmas themed wedding shoot.
Genesis and Kelvin, from Miami, were married in July 2019 but admit that the day itself was a “big flop.”
The couple, who have been together for ten years and have four children, were limited when it came to their big day as their income goes to their daughter’s severe epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome.
Genesis told the: “We didn't really have a big wedding because our daughter has a disability.”
The self-proclaimed Disney fans and were keen to create memories to last a life time and so recently enlisted local photographer for their spooktacular shoot.
“We don't really have time to go on dates or things like that, so for us, this shoot was just a time for us to take a step back and really, you know, practice self-care” Genesis added.
The couple incorporated the Tim Burton classic Nightmare Before Christmas with the help of their pal Monica who runs the event planning business.
The newlyweds headed to the in Miami Springs which provided the haunted backdrop for the shoot.

The great sweeping gown also hid the fact that Genesis chose to go barefoot for the shoot.
And Kelvin too chose a Gothic vibe when it came to his suit, which was designed by the and based on Jack Skellington’s in the film.
Genesis could be seen carrying a dark autumnal bouquet from with finishing touches coming in the form of the Halloween place settings from a and tombstone shaped invites from .
The menu itself was full of quirky additions including “snake and spider stew with a hint of frog’s breath.”
Among the other decorations was a replica of a prop from the film Beetlejuice - Handbook for the Recently Deceased.
Of course the wedding shoot needed a cake and that came in the form of a black, three tiered sponge made by .
It was complete with a Jack Skellington and Sally cake topper, as well as several of the same blooms featured in Genesis’ bouquet.

The couple ended the shoot with stunning after dark sparkler shots.
