Christmas fanatics can now tune into the Heart Extra Xmas channel as of yesterday to hear all the best yuletide bangers in the run-up.

For the next 53 days, the radio station will be blasting out hits such as Mariah Carey's iconic class “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and Wham!'s “Last Christmas”.

If you are eager to start singing the tunes and rocking around the Christmas tree, head to Global Player or the Heart apps.

Meanwhile, Christmas really is coming early this year for fans of festive films - as a free TV channel is now dedicated to showing 24/7 Christmas classics.

Previously known as True Christmas, the Sony Movies Christmas channel is showing the UK's best loved x-mas films and even new premiers.

Featuring a full-day schedule of Yuletide delights, it's ideal to have on in the background while start decorating the house already, or while prepping presents early this year.

And while it's a given that all the classics, from Elf to The Polar Express, will be showing frequently - there's even some content never-seen-before on the channel set to hit our screens.

The Sony Movies channel is available to watch 24/7 on Freeview 50, Sky 319, Virgin 424 and Freesat 303.

We shared the Argos Christmas advert, which features a ‘book of dreams’ and a crowd surfing toy bear.

Meanwhile, the most hotly anticipated advert of the year - John Lewis - usually drops in the first two weeks of November.
