Prince Harry shakes hands with cute boy, nine, who is rumoured to be the inspiration behind baby Archie’s name
PRINCE Harry paid touching tribute to a war hero's nephew who is rumoured to be the inspiration behind Archie's name at Westminster's Field of Remembrance today.
The Duke of Sussex, 35, shook hands with nine-year-old Harrison Degiorgio-Lewis whose uncle Lt Aaron Lewis was killed in Afghanistan in 2008.
The Prince first met Harrison at the Field of Remembrance service in 2016 - shortly after confirming his relationship with Meghan Markle.
Nine-year-old Harrison proudly wore his uncle's cap and medals at the service today.
Tweeting a photo of Harrison and his family, the Daily Mail's royal correspondent wrote: "It's rumoured he is one of the inspirations for Archie Harrison's name.
"Harrison has met Harry on several occasions and the Prince saluted him today."
Earlier this year, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan and Harry had chosen to name their son Archie after his father's army mentor who helped get him deployed in Afghanistan.
The loyal Duke of Sussex is said to have been inspired by Major Tom Archer-Burton — known as Archie — who also travelled with him through Africa on a charity expedition.
According to friends, Harry, 34, credits Archie with saving his military career and helping him serve his country.
A source said: “It’s well known in Army circles, and Archie’s inner circle, that baby Archie is a nod to him.
The two men are incredibly close and struck up a uniquely close bond while serving together.
